MISE EN ABYME
 (I-II)
mounted matte C prints, 147 x 101 5cm
Treating photography like painting, these two wall mounted photo collages are carefully composed to be hung and viewed in any orientation.
The title of the works is a reference to a painting made by my grandfather, seen in the collage directly and in photographs, as well as photographs that I took of installations that I built in response to the painting.

How they shaped the way I see and create treat composition. I grew up surrounded by many of his paintings. so essential and unbiquitous that in my minid they have become as basic as the most common fundamental words and phrases I use.
