DRAWING LIGHT
A series of cloud-like lamps. They are drawings in space marking the volume of light. Strands are connected from point to point in straight, unbroken lines so none of the strands touch. metal & TPE, 80 cm to 140 cm ø
N8/EDITS for NEMO
commissioned by N8/EDITS
N8/EDITS is an art project that connects Amsterdam museums with a younger audience.
The Edits project commissioned young creatives to give their interpretation of a local museum, and a chance to exhibit their design in public space. The exhibition was arranged around Amsterdam Central Station, where the designers were each given a large wall to work with. I built a scale model of the wall as a kaleidoscopic mirror to reflect the iconic green building of science center NEMO. The exhibition lasted for four years and was seen by over 26.000 visitors a day.
A book about the project was published by Glamcult.

PARTICLE
commissioned by DesignMarketo for "Lemonade for All"
The thirteen parts of particle make up the shape of the atoms and bonds of a citric acid molecule. Citric acid connects all fruit. Fruits take the place of the atoms in this shape.
CNC milled and hand finished lacquered multiplex, dimensions variable. Thanks to VU laboratorium Amsterdam and ProtoSpace Utrecht.
